okay, imagine a student in the 3rd year of graduate studies, in a nondescript course in a nondescript institute, which for all purposes has delusions of grandeur. imagine, having slogged through five tedious semesters, the li'l engine simply slips back on the sixth semester, the core course is failed. this disqualifies him from sitting with the rest of his batch for campus placements, as he now has 'backlog' courses. imagine, that every student is allowed to sit for campus interviews only once, virtually eliminating all chances of acquiring a decent job. and oh btw, did i forget to tell you, the institute is still a new one, a thought experiment at formulating a new course, so is not officially recognised, but is already on the blacklist of several companies, all thanks to the first few batches (no shaan, this doesn't refer to you [:)]).
so,
1. No degree
2. No job
3. No chances of higher education
4. Lost four formative years, wasting time
now imagine, that all that i've written here can actually take place, and very much probable. now tell me, is there any reason why i should even worry about studying anything anymore?

welllllllll, u have painted a black picture of our coll..
1. No degree- its not true. recognized by state govt. and UGC
2. No job- Better call it disguised unemployment...failing in a course is ur own issue(mine too)
3. Higher Education- Well, ppl r getting admn in US univs.. only CAT is meowing..hope 4 the best
4. Lost four years- Four years could have been lost anywhere... but i dont think it was a total loss. You learnt the lessons of life...

u Seniors did find hard time to get thenselves recognized and create space for all ppl.. most firms where ur seniors hav been are calling student for internships and other stuff ..including jobs
and even the worst of the lot would get a job and u sure deserve much more than d worst
Be it ne institute man (barring the elite college of IIT brand )u would hav never got the kind of quality education
I spent my 4 years in the collg and cant take ne thing on my Alma Matter ... whatso ever i suffered or made myself suffer being the first batch !!
